Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG | Cesani

Vintage

2023

 16.00

Produced since the thirteenth century and mentioned by Dante in his Divine Comedy, the Vernaccia di San Gimignano is Italy’s first white wine to have received DOCG status. Made from only Vernaccia grapes, this dry wine has a persistence that is ideal for hearty risotto dishes and white meat. With mild aromas of white flowers and green apple, notable body and a slight almond aftertaste, this is a valid substitute to the more aromatic whites that are so prominent on today’s shelves.
